Jenny is a native Oklahoman but lived most of her life in Corpus Christi, Texas (“SoTex” as she likes to call it). In high school, Jenny was involved in band, newspaper, and choir. After much convincing from her sister, Jenny decided to attend OU so she could be involved with the BSU, and she is very thankful she did! Though she misses the beach and great Mexican food, Jenny loves living in Norman and serving with her church there.
Jenny graduated from OU with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2008. While in college she played clarinet in the Pride of Oklahoma marching band and was very active in the BSU. Her summers were spent in Chicago at Project Impact and serving on a cultural exchange program in Southeast Asia.
Jenny has a passion for peoples of all nations to know God intimately and walk with Him. She thrives on seeing college students make decisions to follow Jesus every day and share the Good News with others, believing that college students can impact the world with the Gospel. Though she said she would never go back to school, Jenny is currently pursuing her Masters degree at OU in order to become a licensed counselor. She desires to help students overcome problems and to guide them through God's life-changing Word.
In her spare time, Jenny can be found spending time with friends, running, and studying for class! She also loves listening to live music and going on road trips with friends. An avid movie buff, Jenny loves discussing movies and challenging others with movie trivia! Fall is her favorite time of year not only because of Norman’s beautiful scenery but also because of OU football!
