Originally from Tulsa, OK, Rita now proudly calls Norman home. While attending OU, Rita was involved in the BSU by leading a discipleship training small group, as well as helping with Freshmen outreach, among other things. During her summers as a student, she went to a Project Impact in Chicago, High Point in Glorieta, NM, and did a cultural exchange program in Germany.
Rita graduated in December of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. Although she is not a teacher, she still uses the math part of her degree everyday (which is the part she loves most).
After graduation, Rita worked for a bank in Oklahoma City in the loan processing department for almost two years. She joined the BSU staff at the end of October 2007 as the financial secretary. Along with her job, Rita also loves meeting one-on-one with girls and sharing all the things she learned both as a student and a professional.
One of Rita’s favorite things to do when she isn’t working is to watch movies or TV with friends and just hang out. In addition, Rita can be found reading (especially biographies or mysteries), listening to her favorite music (which is pretty eclectic), or playing Sudoku.
